DMV Warns Of Scam

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation has issued a warning regarding an increase in scammers creating fake websites and social media profiles purporting to be Wisconsin dealerships. The DMV’s Dealers and Agents section monitors this activity and investigates consumer complaints. According to DMV officials, these
scammers use stock images of real vehicles and actual local dealerships, a practice referred to as “dealer cloning”.
