SHAWANO – School officials are addressing concerns after graffiti was discovered in a locker room during a recent basketball event at Shawano High School.
In response to a circulating Facebook post regarding the incident, the school has confirmed that staff immediately removed the graffiti upon its discovery. While defacing school property violates school and local ordinances, officials emphasized that the language used in the graffiti was also deemed unacceptable.

School leaders reaffirmed their commitment to fostering a safe and inclusive environment for students and visitors. They also stressed that respect and accountability are core values within the district, and they remain dedicated to upholding these principles.
As the investigation continues, the school encourages students, parents, and community members to report any information that may assist in identifying those responsible.
