SHAWANO, WI- Authorities are warning the public to avoid using the Kellogg (Maders Cir) Landing to access Shawano Lake after two incidents occurred at the location in the past 24 hours. With warmer temperatures expected to worsen conditions, barricades will be placed to mark the area. There is currently a large, open water area approximately 75 yards offshore, creating a potential safety hazard. Public safety officials urge caution and recommend using alternative access points to the lake.
