Daryl C. Krueger, age 82, of Cloverleaf Lakes, Wisconsin passed away on Wednesday morning, November 27, 2024. He died peacefully at home with family by his side.
Daryl was born on December 26, 1941 in Clintonville, son of the late Albert and Meta (Rathke) Krueger. He was baptized, attended grade school, and was confirmed in faith at St. Martin Lutheran Church and School. He graduated from Clintonville High School in 1960. He was united in marriage to Janice Koeller at St. James Lutheran Church on March 2, 1968.
Daryl and Janice enjoyed 41 years of marriage prior to her passing in 2009. Following high school, Daryl spent time working at American Motors in Milwaukee and Noritage in Embarrass until becoming co-owner of Krueger and Lueck Furniture with his friend Dale Lueck. Daryl and Dale owned and operated Krueger and Lueck Furniture for over 50 years, serving the Shawano and Clintonville regions through the years.
Daryl enjoyed hunting at the cabin up north and was an avid fisherman. The Cloverleaf Lakes was his home for most of his life, and he made many fond memories with his family enjoying activities both on and near the lake. He enjoyed family time, several road trips to visit family in California, and watching Packer games. He was a member of St. Martin Lutheran Church.
Daryl is survived by his children Kristi (John) Wilson, Keith Krueger, and Kathi (Nicholas) Sawyer; grandchildren Jason (Jamie) Wilson, Joshua Wilson, Jesse Wilson, Jasmine Wilson, Trenton Krueger, Elijah Sawyer, and Benjamin Sawyer; great grandchildren Peter Wilson and Katherine Krueger; and numerous lifelong friends and relatives.
Daryl was preceded in death by his parents, wife Janice Krueger, brother Russell Krueger, and sister-in-law Alice Krueger.
Daryl’s funeral service will be held at 12 PM on Monday, December 2, 2024 at St. Martin Lutheran Church of Clintonville, with Rev. Jason Zobel officiating. Interment will take place at Graceland Cemetery, Clintonville.
Friends may call at the church on Monday from 10 AM until the time of the service.
