Darlene A. Schreiber, age 76 of the Town of Belle Plaine, Shawano County entered eternal rest with her Lord on Friday September 20, 2024 at the ThedaCare Medical Center in Appleton surrounded by loving family.
Darlene was born on May 4, 1948 in Clintonville as the daughter of the late Joseph and Esther (Swenson) Kolosso, Sr. She attended school in Marion and was united in marriage to Harold Schreiber on March 6, 1965 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Big Falls. The couple moved to Neenah where Darlene worked for a short time at Neenah Printing prior to the couple moving back to the area. Darlene then worked at Flanagan’s Kraut Factory in Bear Creek and Ponderosa Restaurant in Shawano. After moving back from Neenah, the couple became members of Zion Lutheran Church in Embarrass. They enjoyed camping, traveling and taking short drives together, and also looked forward to their casino trips. Darlene had a soft spot for all of her pets but especially enjoyed being around her cats. She was a very caring and compassionate person and loved spending time with family.
Survivors include: Her Husband Harold.
Children: Kris (Dan Ziemer) Schreiber, Kim (Dave) Hodd, Kevin (Lisa) Schreiber, and Nathan (Kelly) Schreiber.
Grandchildren: Adam (Jaymie) Noack, Ashley (Adam) Roehl, Angela (Rick) Radtke, Andrew (Kelsey) Dunlavy, Jill (Kyle) Krejci, Stephanie Dunlavy, Katie (Dalton) Bowe, Sean (Megan) Schreiber, Marc Schreiber, Abigail Schreiber, Brady Schreiber, and Laney Schreiber.
Step-Grandchildren: Amanda (Angel) Powell, Josh (Keri) Hodd, Kyle Jechorek, and Brianna Jechorek.
Numerous Great-Grandchildren.
A Sister: Shirley Buch.
A Sister-in-law: Audrey Criscione.
Also numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, an infant son Kelly Schreiber, grandson Aaron Noack, and by siblings Phyllis (Willie) Kratzke, Esther Mae Heling, Joseph “Bud” (Maxine) Kolosso, Jr., Anthony Kolosso, and Jenny Zimmer.
Darlene’s funeral service will be held Friday September 27, 2024 at 11am at the Zion Lutheran Church in Embarrass with Rev. Todd Jerabek officiating. Interment will take place at Big Falls Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 10am until the time of the service.
