Alice J. Passehl, age 86 of Marion passed away Wednesday morning September 4, 2024 at the Jack and Engrid Meng Unity Hospice Center in DePere.
Alice Jane Sanders was born on December 22, 1937 in Aurora, IL as the daughter of the late Fred and Grace (Scott) Sanders, Sr. She moved with her family to the Town of Pella where she attended Fairview School and graduated from Marion High School in 1955. She worked at Gambles Store in Shawano for a short time before working for Employees Mutual Insurance in Wausau. Alice was united in marriage to the love of her life; Lyle Passehl on July 6, 1957 at the Evangelical United Brethren Church in the Town of Seneca, Shawano County. Alice was a dedicated homemaker for Lyle and their boys as they meant everything to her. She also worked for Zimmel’s Bakery in Clintonville, Lee’s Market in Marion, and also in the Clerk’s office for the City of Marion. Alice enjoyed playing Bridge with her friends and was a past member of the Marion Lioness. Lyle and Alice enjoyed many sight seeing tours and spring golf trips to southern states. Alice enjoyed life and enjoyed meeting people with a big smile. In her spare time, Alice enjoyed watching the birds at her feeder, collecting bird figurines, and working on puzzles. She was a faithful member of Marion Bible Church where she enjoyed worshiping with friends and neighbors.

Sons: Tom and Mike Passehl.
Grandchildren: Andrew, Eric (Angela), and Loren (Olivia) Passehl.
4 Great-Grandchildren.
Sister: Linda (John) Moscicki
Brother: Todd (Deb) Sanders.
Sister-in-law: Jill Sanders.
And a Brother-in-law: Raymond Parks.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents, a son Daniel Passehl, a brother Fred Sanders, Jr., and by a sister Marion Parks.
Alice’s funeral service will be held Saturday, September 7, 2024 at 11am at the Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory South Location, 299 S. Main Street, Clintonville, WI 54929. Rev. Phil Hohensee will officiate and interment will follow at Greenleaf Cemetery in Marion.
