GREENVILLE, WI- Two people were seriously injured in a crash involving a motorcycle and a pickup truck in the Village of Greenville on Thursday.
According to the Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened at the intersection of Spring Road and Julius Drive. A 36-year-old man from Greenville was driving a pickup truck westbound on Spring Road, while a motorcycle, carrying a 70-year-old man and a 71-year-old woman, both from Greenville, was stopped at the intersection on Julius Drive.
As the motorcycle turned east onto Spring Road, it was struck by the pickup truck, which was making a southbound turn onto Julius Drive.
The woman riding the motorcycle was taken to a local hospital with severe injuries, while the motorcycle’s driver also suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to a hospital. The pickup truck driver was not injured.
Authorities stated that alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash. The investigation is ongoing.
