Beverly Evelyn Genskow, age 78 of Marion passed away Sunday June 16, 2024 at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay.
The former Beverly Evelyn Fietzer was born April 14, 1946 in Clintonville to the late Herbert Gottlieb and Mabel Margaret (Krueger) Fietzer. Beverly was baptized, confirmed, and later united in marriage on January 21, 1967 to Kenneth Victor Genskow at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Symco. She attended her first 8 years of school in the one room “State Road” Schoolhouse. She later graduated from Little Wolf High School in Manawa in 1964. In her earlier years she worked at Hanson Glove Factory in Clintonville and Aid Association for Lutherans (now Thrivent) in Appleton. After marriage she became a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Marion. Shortly after that she began working at Nolan Sales, Midwest Livestock, and Equity Livestock aka The Sale Barn in Marion part-time until her retirement in 2010. Beverly enjoyed traveling, camping, and “Ranger” rides through their woods. She enjoyed time with her grandsons, going to their football and baseball games, and hunting seasons with the family. Beverly also enjoyed watching the birds and wildlife. She was involved at St. John’s Church as a Sunday School teacher and with the quilting group. She is now in her Lord’s hands and free of pain.
Survivors include: Her Husband Ken Genskow.
Daughter: Faye Genskow (Chad Winchester).
Sons: Brian Genskow (Amy Bessette) and Bruce Genskow (Ericha Werner).
3 Grandsons: Braxton, Parker, & Myles Genskow.
Siblings: Marian Baker and Larry (Margaret) Fietzer.
Sisters-in-law: Nathalie Genskow, Karen (Dave) Henselin, and Janet (Gilbert) Selle.
Numerous nieces and nephews and God Children Pam Harper, Wendy Tyler, & Ann Papendorf.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents Herbert & Mabel Fietzer, sister Jannice (Paul) Goddard, and brothers-in-law Ed Baker and Larry Genskow.
Funeral services will be held Thursday June 20, 2024 at 11am at the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Marion with Rev. Lois Graper officiating. Interment will be at Greenleaf Cemetery in Marion. Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 9am until the time of service. Beverly’s family would like to thank the Pella First Responders and the Shawano Area Ambulance Service for all of their kindness and assistance.
