SHIOCTON, WI- Fire destroyed The River Rail Bar and Banquet hall Wednesday night. Multiple crews responded to the fire.

The cause of the fire is undetermined. Fire Chief Dan Nabbefeld said the fire likely originated in a second story storage room.

All patrons as well as an individual who lives upstairs were able to safely evacuate and no injuries were reported.

Officials say water had to be retrieved from the Wolf River to help extinguish the flames. Fire departments from Outagamie, Brown, Shawano, Waupaca, and Winnebago Counties assisted at the scene.
Community members say the River Rail was a huge part of their community since 1983.

The exact cause of the fire remains under investigation.
