Ginger A. Wedde, age 79 of Clintonville passed away Tuesday evening August 23, 2022 at Care Partners Assisted Living in Clintonville.

Ginger Ann Alto was born with her twin sister Julie Ann in Wild Rose on May 25, 1943 as the daughters of the late Arley Alto and Arlene (Rose) Alto-Rixner. Ginger graduated from Omro High School with the Class of 1964 and as a young woman became a chef for a few Oshkosh area hotels. She then went to get her Hospitality Management Degree from Nicolet College in Rhinelander. Ginger was united in marriage to Wayne Wedde at St. Martin Lutheran Church in Clintonville on August 16, 1981. She loved to dabble with photography taking many family pictures and even finished a course in professional photography at the New York Institute of Photography. She was a great artist and loved producing oil paintings. Ginger was well known for her ability as a cook which led to her publishing her own cookbook and authoring “Ginger’s Corner” which was a segment in the family’s owned Shopper’s Guide in town. She had a passion for her flower gardens and especially looked forward to designing them. In recent years Ginger wrote her own children’s book “The Trumpeter Swan” and enjoyed taking care of things at home and spending time with her family.

Survivors include:  Her Husband: Wayne.
Step-Children: Randy (Brenda) Wedde, Bruce (Beth) Wedde, and Kim (Tony) Malueg.
Step-Grandchildren: Joshua, Walker, & Savannah Wedde, Denver (Megan) Wedde, Danielle Wedde, and Bailey & Nicholas Malueg.
A Sister: Kjordis (Dennis Gratke) Christie.
A Sister-in-law: Ute Alto.
Also numerous nieces and nephews.

Ginger was preceded in death by her parents, her step-father Al Rixner, twin sister Julie Ann Schry, step-grandchildren: Justin, James, & John Wedde and brothers David & Ron Alto.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday September 6, 2022 at 12 pm at St. Martin Lutheran Church in Clintonville with Rev. Jason Zobel officiating. Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery in Clintonville. Visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday from 10am until the time of the service.
