WAUPACA, WI- It was not the smoothest of campaigns, but Wauapca County Sheriff Tim Wilz was re-elected Tuesday night with a 5,207 to 3,748 win over Sheriff Deputy Cameron Durrant.
Wilz faced a lot of backlash from the Wauapca County District Attorney’s office during the campaign, but the voters showed support in large way.
Wilz won 30 of the 39 reporting municipalities. Wilz had big wins in the Town of Bear Creek 140-33, Town of Caledonia 278-69, Town of Lebanon 231-80, and the City of Clintonville 302-157. Durrant had big wins in the City of Waupaca 538-393, Town of Farmington 485-296, Town of Scandinavia 154-75 and the Village of Iola 136-72.
