NORTHEAST WI, – Consumers may experience some sticker shock when they go shopping for fireworks for the Fourth of July. Retailers say you should expect less of a bang for your buck. Owners of firework companies say prices went up during the pandemic and they jumped another 20-to-40 percent this year. Officials say shipping costs for fireworks made overseas have, well, skyrocketed. One C-E-O said his company paid about 11-thousand dollars for a container of fireworks in 2019. This year, the company is paying closer to 40-thousand for the same container. Those prices are passed on to the customers.
