Gary Wolf, age 79, of Bonduel, passed away in Libertyville, Illinois, on Saturday, November 27, 2021. On February 16, 1942, Gary was born in Shawano, Wisconsin, son of the late Henry and Caroline (Manthei) Wolf. Gary graduated from Oconto Falls High School in 1960. On September 14, 1963, Gary was united in marriage to the love of his life, Lorraine Nischke at Zion United Methodist Church in Bonduel. Gary worked at the Morgan Co-op milk plant and then Liebman Packing in Green Bay until Liebman was bought out. In 1968 Gary and Lorraine purchased a dairy farm outside of Bonduel. Gary was a hard worker, even in recent years he enjoyed “supervising” from his four-wheeler and would greet you with his signature wave. Outside of work, Gary enjoyed snowmobiling and traveling with Lorraine and some of their close friends. A man of steel with a heart of gold, Gary loved life and his family. He had a great sense of humor and a contagious smile. Gary was a one-of-a-kind devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather and his legacy will be forever remembered by his family and friends.
Gary is survived by: his wife of 58 years, Lorraine; three children, Thomas (Deborah) Wolf of Bonduel, Katheryn (Russell) Gohr of Krakow, and Connie (Stuart) Schmidt of Bonduel; a daughter-in-law, Shelly Wolf; grandchildren, Trisha (Adam Buss) Wolf, Allan (Kaci) Wolf, Jenna Wolf, Barret Gohr, Mady Gohr, Hayley Wolf, Dalton Schmidt, Sawyer Schmidt, and Ella Schmidt; three great grandchildren, Graham, Declan, and Amelia; siblings, Janice Aprill, Judy Sell, Joyce (Ed) Winkler, Robert (Barbara) Wolf, and John (Bev) Wolf. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
He is preceded in death by two sons, Michael and Jeffrey, a grandchild, Taylor Wolf, his parents, and two brothers-in-law, Harold Aprill and Al Sell, Jr.
A funeral service for Gary will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bonduel at 11:00am on Thursday, December 2, 2021, with Rev. Timothy Shoup officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday from 4:00pm until 7:00pm and again on Thursday from 9:30am until the time of the service. Swedberg Wendt Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
