GRESHAM, WI- The 180 acre property known as the Novitiate in Gresham will have a new life, as Renewing Management purchased the property for
The new management group calls it one of their more interesting properties as it is an abandoned mansion.
The Alexian Brothers’ Novitiate was built in 1939 as a residence, but was later converted into a novitiate and was used after the Second Vatican Council. History shows that in 1975, it was seized by the Menominee Warrior Society and turned over to the Menominee Indian Reservation before being returned to Gresham.
Renewing Management is offering tours of the building and taking ideas on what it can be used for in the future.
So far, the owners have gotten feedback that it should be used as a destination, used for healing and health or living and working. There was also ideas to use if for weddings or corporate retreats or as a Bed and Breakfast or Air B&B.
The final scheduled walking tour will be this Saturday November 13 from 10am to Noon.
