DE PERE, WI – West De Pere Football Coach Jack Batten is stepping down after six seasons with the Phantoms.

Batten says the balance between teaching and coaching is getting difficult, and in recent years, the job has been extending beyond the football season with College recruiters looking to meet with him.

The 1984 West De Pere graduate went 59-13 with three conference titles and was also a State runner-up.
