In God’s hands she fell…..Cynthia “Cindy” Wayerski, age 63, of Clintonville passed away on Monday, December 2, 2019 at her home.
Cynthia Louise Oshefsky was born on June 4, 1956 in Oconto Falls to Richard and Bernice (Niemczyk) Oshefsky. As a young girl her parents moved from Oconto Falls to Bear Creek where they lived for a short time. At the age of 12 her family settled in Clintonville where she attended high school. Cindy was united in marriage on September 16, 1972 to Kenneth P. Wayerski at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Milladore, Wisconsin.
In her early days, Cindy was a cheesemaker at the Cheese Factory in Blinker and she also worked for some time at the Lullabye Furniture Factory in Stevens Point. The couple returned to Clintonville in 1979 and she was employed at Simmons Juvenile Furniture in New London until their closing. Then Cindy started at Walmart in New London where she worked for close to eight years. Cindy and Ken purchased a food wagon and began “Maw Maw’s Kitchen” serving food to folks at local auctions. But her deepest satisfaction came from being a homemaker and raising her grandchildren. Cindy was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a proud grandmother.
Cindy is an active member of Calvary Apostolic Church in Clintonville and served with the Women’s Ministry group for lots of projects. Cindy is a former member of Community Baptist Church in Shawano where she volunteered as coordinator of the Vacation Bible School program. Her interests included cooking, baking, and entertaining family and friends. The couple enjoyed raising and showing Arabian Horses around Wisconsin and Upper Michigan. They also liked participating all around Wisconsin in the Buckskinners Encampment and Black Powder Rendezvous recapturing life as it was in pre-1840 era.
Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Ken; one son, Vincent Wayerski; and five grandchildren, Paula, Logan, Meleaha, Layla, and Hunter. There are two sisters, Mary Ann (Virgil) Wudtke and Lori (Allen) Poppe; one brother Wayne (Christine) Oshefsky; and one brother-in-law John Williams. Cindy is also survived by sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Shirley (Ron) Hertel, Julia Wayerski, Diane Feltz, Dale (Angie) Wayerski, Tina (Ernie) Feltz, and Janis Klismith. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Cindy is preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Taren Wayerski, her step father Lawrence Peterson, a daughter-in-law Jessica Wayerski, two sisters Bonnie Lila and Judy Williams, and two brothers-in-law Wayne Wayerski and Myron Feltz
Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 7th at 11:00 AM at Calvary Apostolic Church, Clintonville, with Rev. Patrick Kloehn officiating. Friends may call on Saturday from 9:00 AM until time of service at the church. The Beil-Didier Funeral Home, Clintonville, is assisting with the arrangements.
Our family would especially like to thank her extended church family at Calvary for their continued spiritual support. We would also wish to extend a thank you to all of her close relatives for all their love and concern. Finally, a special thanks to all the nurses of Unity Hospice for the compassionate care given to Cindy.
