The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) provides weekly road construction updates for counties in North Central Wisconsin: Adams, Green Lake, Florence, Forest, Iron, Langlade, Lincoln, Marathon, Marquette, Menominee, Oneida, Portage, Price, Shawano, Vilas, Waupaca, Waushara, and Wood.

Shawano County
Highway: WIS 22
Location: Between County B and Zingler Street & Main Street and County BE
Schedule: July 15, 2019 to November 1, 2019
Traffic impacts: Single lane closures and 10’ lane widths on WIS 22 between County HHH/Airport Road and County BE will continue through Mid-November. Numerous traffic switches on WIS 22 between Airport Road and CTH BE will occur over the next couple weeks. Reduce your speed, follow signage and pay attention to flagging operations when in use.
Anticipated work scheduled for next week:
- Remove forms and falsework at Murray Creek Box Culvert
- Divert Murray Creek into the new Box Culvert
- Remove the temporary diversion channel
- Finish roadway grading and ditching on south side of WIS 22

Waupaca County
Highway: WIS 49
Location: Anderson Road to Peterson Road, village of Iola.
Schedule: October 3, 2019 to October 31, 2019
Traffic impacts: Minimal impacts during pavement marking operations.
Anticipated work schedule for next week: Permanent pavement marking will likely take place between October 23 and October 25. Minor work associated with end of project such as punch list items may occur from October 23 through November 1.
Waupaca and Wood Counties
Highway: WIS 110
Location: Between Wolf River Drive and WIS 96 in Fremont
Schedule: July 8, 2019 to November 22, 2019
Traffic impacts at WIS 110, Wolf River Bridge: Motorists can expect to encounter one lane crossing the bridge with temporary signals from July 8 thru November 22.
Anticipated work schedule for next week: Crews will be pouring the overlay for the southbound lanes on the bridge and working on bridge approach overlays.
Highway: WIS 80 and WIS 186
Location: WIS 80 between Rabbit lane and Ubinger Road; WIS 186 between Apple Road and Jefferson Road
Schedule: October 14, 2019 through November 1, 2019
Traffic impacts: WIS 80: Motorists can expect to encounter one lane crossing the work zone with temporary signals and a maximum width of 11 feet. WIS 186: Motorists can expect flagging operations during the week.
Anticipated work schedule for next week: WIS 80: Contractor will be working on asphalt paving, gravel shoulder work, landscaping and pavement marking. WIS 186: Contractor will be working on asphalt paving, gravel shoulder work, landscaping and pavement marking.
