The Town of Menominee and Lunda Construction Company’s plan for completion of the repairs to Brave Island Bridge have been finalized and consists of the following activities and schedule: staging equipment near the bridge on today (Friday) removal of the railing on the west side of bridge, delivery of the two new bridge beams on Monday and begin removal and installation of the bridge beams on or between Monday, February 26th through Thursday, March 1^st.  All work on the underside of the bridge and replace the railing will be done on or between Thursday, March 1st through Friday, March 9th. Brave Island Bridge will be closed intermittently to all vehicle and pedestrian traffic on Monday, February 26th through Thursday, March 1^st. Unfortunately, weather could play a factor in whether this schedule is extended. After Thursday, March 1st, there may be intermittent closures of a much shorter duration.
