Sharon R. Krueger, age 75, formerly of the Town of Wescott, passed away Friday afternoon, October 6, 2017 at Mount View Care Center in Wausau.
Sharon was born September 26, 1942, a daughter of the late Harvey and Margaret (Pruess) Polzin. She attended Clintonville schools, graduating from Clintonville High School in 1961. Following school Sharon was employed at the telephone company in Clintonville. On October 31, 1964 she was united in marriage to James H. Krueger at Trinity Lutheran Church in Bear Creek, Wisconsin. Her husband preceded her in death on April 29, 2012. Following their marriage the couple lived in Hilbert, Denmark, Post Lake and Shawano. Sharon stayed at home to raise their children.
She is a member of St. Jakobi Lutheran Church in the Town of Richmond. Sharon was an active volunteer for Hospice and Meals on Wheels. She loved to spend time with her family, arts and crafts, and dogs.
Survivors include two sons, Dean (Elizabeth) Krueger of Wasioja, Minnesota, and James (Kerry) Krueger of Tomahawk; three grandchildren, Ben Krueger, Madeline Krueger, and Kate Krueger; her cousin Rae Tyriver; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her in-laws, Albert and Alma Krueger.
Funeral services for Sharon R. Krueger will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 2:00 PM at St. Jakobi Lutheran Church, Town of Richmond. Pastor Travis Kleinschmidt will officiate. Interment will take place at Lake Drive Cemetery, Town of Wescott. Visitation will take place at the church on Saturday from 12:30 PM until the hour of service.
