An early morning welfare check drew attention at the Kwik Trip on East Green Bay Street, where a caller reported a woman passed out in a silver Jeep. Officers arrived just after 6 a.m. and found no immediate threat — the case was closed without incident.
Overnight, officers responded to a general assistance call on East Center Street involving GPS data flagged by emergency tech services. Two units responded, clearing the scene by 2:16 a.m.
At Olga Brener School, a 911 call came in around 7:45 a.m. It was quickly addressed and resolved without further issue.
Meanwhile, concerns over reckless ATV activity near Waukechon Road surfaced mid-afternoon, with an anonymous caller alleging a blue ATV was speeding and tearing up gravel. Officers patrolled the area, with the investigation remaining active.
Police were also called to Shawano Cinema after reports of a sheet of plastic causing a traffic hazard. That call was swiftly handled and cleared.
Later in the day, a reported disturbance at Estates Lane Apartments required multiple officers. The call began around 3:30 p.m. and stretched into the early evening, with officers remaining on scene for nearly two hours.
In separate reports, police looked into multiple harassment complaints, including one involving binocular surveillance and another involving an alleged incident at Charlie’s County Market.
And finally, officers facilitated a pair of vehicle repossessions — both reported in the 8 p.m. hour — one on Division Street and another by Nationwide Recovery.
The Clintonville Police Department had a full slate of calls Thursday, April 10th, ranging from traffic stops to fire and medical responses.
The day began early with extra patrols on Anne Street and near local schools. Throughout the morning and into the afternoon, officers conducted multiple traffic stops across the city—including on North Main, 8th Street, and 12th Street—aimed at keeping roadways safe.
Officers also assisted residents on Fairway Drive and responded to an ordinance violation on North Main.
Later in the day, police were called to a juvenile issue on South Clinton Avenue, followed shortly by a fire alarm activation on North Park Street. No injuries were reported.
Around 5 p.m., officers assisted Waupaca County deputies with two separate calls, followed by a domestic disturbance on South Main.
Evening calls included an ambulance dispatch to Hughes Street, an animal nuisance complaint on West 14th, and two additional agency assists—one on East Garfield and another near South Main and Campus Drive.
It was a busy day for Shawano County law enforcement on April 10th, with a variety of calls keeping deputies on their toes.
Early Thursday morning, a driver was arrested for operating while intoxicated near County Roads D and N in the Town of Bowler. Authorities say the suspect was clocked going 95 in a 55-mile-per-hour zone.
Later that morning, a bizarre scam attempt unfolded at the Shell gas station in Wittenberg. A caller reportedly convinced an employee to unlock the manager’s office in an attempt to access the safe. The suspect never showed up, but the incident remains under investigation.
Animal-related calls also kept deputies moving. Around 6:40 a.m., a suffering deer was reported in a ditch on Highway 47 near Bonduel. Just moments later, three more injured deer were found on Highway 29 after being struck by a passing truck.
Meanwhile, in Shawano, two individuals turned themselves in on outstanding warrants. One suspect reportedly owed $1,500 in bonds.
In a more alarming situation, a suspicious vehicle followed a person through Green Bay all the way to Shawano. The black Ford F-150 reportedly cut off other cars to keep up. Authorities are looking into the incident.
The afternoon brought high-speed drama as a pursuit began in Menominee County. A black Buick was clocked at speeds of 100 miles per hour before being stopped near E Line Road.
And finally, multiple assists to fire and general welfare checks rounded out the day, including one call for a man reportedly lying unresponsive along Robin Road. He later appeared alert but refused help.
