
Patricia Mary Hoffman, age 86, of Gresham passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on Monday April 7, 2025. Patricia was born on October 12, 1938, in Leopolis to the late Albert and Cora (Brunner) DeBaker. Her first date with her future husband, Peter Hoffman, Jr., was at a school dance. On September 5, 1959, Patricia was united in marriage to Peter Hoffman, Jr., in Leopolis. Together the couple had eight wonderful children in ten years. She worked at Birch Hill Nursing Home as an RN for 20 years and served on the Gresham Village Board for 20 years. Patricia was an avid crafter and gardener. She loved looking at her work of art and seeing her flowers blossom. Patricia was a member of St. Francis Solanus Catholic Church.
Patricia is survived by her children, Carl (Debbie) Hoffman, Earl (Alicia) Hoffman, Ann Marie Reynolds, Tony (Teri) Hoffman, Lois (Thomas Russell) Higgins, Todd (Kelly) Hoffman, Janet Fausti and John (Lisa) Hoffman; grandchildren, Elliot (Allyson), Stacy (Nate), Luke (Laura), Shannon (Dan), Kyle (Elysabeth), Elizabeth, Ryan, Ashley, Jessie (Paul), Erica (Steven), Trevor, Christopher, Hilary (Eric), Hunter (Shannon), Mike, Kayla, Nick, Austin and Aaron (Courtney); great-grandchildren, Hadley, Josie, Ryleigh, Graham, Evelyn, Lena, Levi, Laney, Kaleb, Cora, Henry, Clyde, Indy, Nora, Teagan, Jack, Charlie, Jaelynn, Gracee, Oaklyn, Samantha, Hudson and one on the way; and sister, Karen Knitt. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Patricia is preceded in death by her husband, Peter; son-in-law, Dan Reynolds; brothers, Eugene and Joseph; and parents, Albert and Cora.
A memorial service for Patricia will be held on Monday April 14, 2025, at 11:00 am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Leopolis with Fr. Vincent officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday at the church from 9:00 am until the time of service. Inurnment will be held at St. Francis Solanus Catholic Cemetery.
