Area high school track and field athletes kicked off their indoor seasons with strong performances at the UW-Oshkosh, UW-Stevens Point, and Berlin Invitational meets. Competitors from New London, Shiocton, Seymour, and several other schools turned in impressive results, setting the stage for a promising season.
UW-Oshkosh Indoor Meet – Division 2 and 3 Boys
At the UW-Oshkosh meet, New London and Shiocton athletes stood out in their respective divisions. In Division 2, Chase Osborn and Braeden Clarke of New London secured second and third place finishes in the 3200-meter run, while Clintonville’s Sam Wegener claimed victory in the long jump and placed second in the high jump. Cory Brooker of New London also made his mark with a second-place finish in the triple jump.

In Division 3, Shiocton’s Paxton Kuehn was a standout performer, earning second-place finishes in both the 60-meter and 200-meter dashes, while also anchoring the 4×200 relay team to a second-place finish. Wyatt Hess added to Shiocton’s success with a second-place finish in the 60-meter hurdles. Manawa and Suring also had strong showings, with Dayne Ermis of Suring finishing second in the triple jump and third in the high jump, and Manawa’s Jacob Kravetz taking second in the long jump.

UW-Stevens Point – Girls
On the girls’ side, Pulaski and Hortonville delivered standout performances at the UW-Stevens Point meet. Pulaski’s Emerson Fabry finished second in the 800-meter run, while Seymour’s Kennedi Vanden Huevel took second in the high jump. Hortonville’s Hannah Huza secured third place in the 1600-meter run, and their 4×800 relay team also earned a third-place finish. Pulaski’s 4×200 relay team rounded out the top performances with a second-place finish.

Berlin Invitational
The Berlin Invitational also saw outstanding efforts from local athletes. Iola-Scandinavia’s Aiden Bowen dominated the sprints, winning the 60-meter dash and taking second in the 200-meter dash. Waupaca’s Xzaver Pittman was right behind him in the 60-meter dash, finishing second, while also winning the long jump. Waupaca’s Liam Bloedow grabbed first place in the 400-meter dash, and Owen Lenecki finished second in the 1600-meter run.
On the girls’ side, Waupaca’s Sienna Timm put on a show, winning both the 1600-meter and 3200-meter runs to cap off an outstanding start to her season.
