Joyce M. Granado, age 86 of Shawano, formerly of Bear Creek, passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at Shawano Place.
Joyce Marilyn Knapp was born on February 28, 1938 in Bear Creek as the daughter of the late Oscar and Bertha (Witzke) Knapp. She graduated from Clintonville High School and was united in marriage to Edward Pahl in 1958. The couple had 3 children and later divorced. Joyce worked for a while at Flanagan’s in Bear Creek but spent most of her working years as a custodian for the Clintonville School District until her retirement. On May 5, 1979 Joyce was united in marriage to Jesus Granado at the Christus Lutheran Church in Clintonville where she was still a current member. Joyce was proud to have been selected as the Queen of Harvest Festival Days and looked forward to heading out to local establishments with Jesus where she made many friends over the years. Joyce loved to work in her garden and can the fruits of her labor. She also never turned away a stray pet as she was certainly a kindhearted soul with a house full of animals.

Her Son: Richard (Jodee) Pahl.
Daughter: Cara (Sandy Suehring) Pahl.
Numerous grandchildren.
Sister: Shirley Higgins.
Sister-in-law: Deloras Knapp.
Also numerous other relatives and friends.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents Oscar and Bertha Knapp, her husband Jesus Granado, ex-husband Edward Pahl, son Allen Pahl and another child in infancy, and by brothers Garland, Earl (Shirley), and Dan Knapp.
Joyce’s funeral service will be held Saturday, March 1, 2025 at 11am at Christus Lutheran Church in Clintonville with Rev. Brian Crocker officiating. Interment will take place at Graceland Cemetery in Clintonville in the spring. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 9am until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers memorials would be appreciated for Christus Lutheran Church or The Alzheimer’s Association. Joyce’s family would like to thank the wonderful, caring staff at Shawano Place and Moment’s Hospice for all of their help over the past 3 years.
