Thomas W. Jacoby, age 60 of Shawano, unexpectedly went to meet his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Wednesday evening, February 19, 2025, at ThedaCare Medical Center in Appleton. Tom was born on January 28, 1965, in Thiensville, WI, a son of Donald and Lois (Lohrman) Jacoby. He attended St. Cecilia Catholic Grade School and later graduated from Homestead High School in Mequon with the Class of 1983. Following high school, Tom attended the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point and met his future wife, Rebecca. Tom held various jobs including auto mechanic, potato farming, a warehouse manager, a semi-truck driver, and most recently, a luxury motor coach driver. All in all, Tom was a driver and loved every person he came in contact with, and they loved him. On May 21, 1994, he was united in marriage to Rebecca Sherwood at Zion Lutheran Church in Peshtigo. They lived and worked in Stevens Point for the first nine years following their marriage, then the couple moved to Shawano and have lived here since. Tom was an avid supporter of Wisconsin sports, the Brewers, Bucks, Packers, and most importantly, the Oshkosh Titans. While Tom was driving motor coach, he made numerous friends and formed many lasting relationships. Tom’s outgoing and goofy personality allowed him to make an impact on many people’s lives. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and his pontoon boat. Above all, Tom loved being there for his girls and supporting them in all of their extracurricular activities. He attended St. James Lutheran Church.
Tom is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Rebecca of Shawano; two children, Margaret “Maggie” (Spencer Tiegs) Jacoby of Wauwatosa, WI, and Alissa (Cole) Vande Hei of Cloverleaf Lakes; his parents, Donald and Lois Jacoby of Thiensville, WI; sisters, Amy Jacoby of Madison and Susan (Doug) Diethert of Auburndale, WI; brother, Tim Jacoby of Big Fork, Montana; and mother and father-in-law, Thomas and Linda Sherwood of Peshtigo. Tom was looking forward to meeting his grandson in May. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, friends, and neighbors.
A memorial service for Thomas W. Jacoby will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at 11:00 am at Mickelson Funeral and Cremation Service in Shawano. Vicar David Kaiser will officiate. Visitation will begin at the funeral home on Saturday at 9:00 am and continue until the time of service.
