
Bonnabelle “Bonnie” M. Hidde, age 95 of Clintonville passed away Tuesday afternoon January 28, 2025 at Care Partners Assisted Living in Clintonville.
Bonnabelle Myrel Kersten was born on March 11, 1929 in the Town of Wyoming, Waupaca County as the daughter of the late Otto and Myrel (Stanley) Kersten. She grew up in the rural Tigerton area and was united in marriage to Harold Hidde on December 21, 1946 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Marion. The married couple farmed in the Town of Union, Waupaca County for many years before moving to Clintonville in 1984. While farming they were active members of St. John’s in Marion and upon moving to Clintonville they became members of St. Paul Lutheran Church in town where Bonnie was active on a number of committees and with the ladies group. She was a proud cancer survivor and will be remembered for her pink swirl in her hair to bring awareness to the fight against breast cancer. Bonnie and Harold enjoyed traveling once they sold the farm. They visited California and Germany as well as taking a number of bus trips together over the years. In her spare time she enjoyed playing bingo at Care Partners, crocheting, and working on puzzles.

Her Sons: Gary Hidde, Rick (Sandy) Hidde, and Dale (Barb) Hidde.
Numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Joan Kersten, Vinetta Hidde, Don (MaryEtta) Hidde, and Howard (Margo) Hidde.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents Otto and Myrel Kersten, husband Harold Hidde in 2012, daughter and son-in-law Debbie (Al) Schley, daughter-in-law Diana Hidde, grandsons Brian and Christopher Hidde, sisters Betty (Ernie) Nero and Elaine Kersten, and by her brother Herman Kersten who passed away just this past week.
Bonnie’s funeral service will be held Thursday February 6, 2025 at 11am at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Clintonville with Rev. Caleb Rothfuss officiating. Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery also in Clintonville. Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 9:30am until the time of service. The Hidde family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Care Partners as well as the nurses with ThedaCare at Home Hospice for their thoughtful care of Bonnie during her stay.
