Denise R. Hallows, age 64 of Caroline, WI, passed away early Saturday morning, January 25, 2025 at her home.
Denise Renee Hallows, daughter to the late Gerald & Florence (Suehring) Bossell; loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away after a short battle with cancer, just ten days short of her retirement age of 65.
Denise was born February 5, 1960 in Antigo, WI. She grew up in the area and later attended Marion Schools. She played softball, pool, and worked at the Marion Rec. She still has many close friends from her childhood who could attest to her wild adventurous party days, the loyalty she possessed, along with the love and character she showed during her lifetime.
She moved away from the area in her late teen years and spent a summer in Ninilchik, AK working for a fish cannery. Then she moved to Sebewaing, MI for a couple years where she and her family resided. Denise worked very hard delivering newspapers for 18 years. When she later moved back to the area, she was employed at Marion Body Works for nearly 14 years.
Denise was known for her love of a good time; whether visiting with friends at the local tavern, or gathering with family and friends. She was a social butterfly who could make friends anywhere, easily. Her sense of humor, sarcasm, and “tell it like it is,” attitude was well known. One of her most common phrases was, “You’re full of it, like a baby Robin.” Her contagious laugh will be remembered by many because she laughed often; often to the point of being red in the face and out of breath. Denise loved to dance and listen to classic rock, oldies, and country music. She had a memory like an encyclopedia, which was the envy of her family and friends.
Her husband of 41 years, Gerald will miss her dearly. No matter the ups and downs, they stayed together through thick and thin; a true testament of marriage.
Her daughter Danielle will miss this most amazing woman that inspired her to be a good mom; and strive to be a person who represents the epitome of strength and love. Denise also demonstrated how to always be genuine.
Her grandchildren will miss her spoiling and unconditional love. Her great-granddaughter, Emberlynn will only know her through stories and photos.
Denise was a huge Packer fan and also followed the Caroline Cougars baseball. She loved to spend time outdoors fishing. She always gave her time and helped anyone no matter how poorly she was treated. She had a genuine heart of gold and would give her last dollar to anyone in need.
She is no longer suffering or in pain, sitting on her heavenly bar stool. Prost!
