Sandra Kay Nordin, age 69, of Shawano, passed away on January 1, 2025, after a seven-year battle with cancer. She fought as hard as she could, trying as many options as possible so she would be able to see her grandchildren grow up and enjoy the retirement she worked so hard for. Sandra was born on November 1, 1955, in Baraboo, WI, a daughter of Doris (Montour) and the late Marlin “Heinie” Zeuske. She attended the Shawano schools and graduated from Shawano High School with the Class of 1974.  Sandra met Michael J. Nordin in 1966 when they were just eleven years old. They were united in marriage on December 27, 1975, in Shawano, WI. Together they
raised their two children: Nicholas R. Nordin and Heather J. Smith.  Sandra pursued a career in banking for over 20 years before she took the leap to go work in the family business with her husband. She became the Office Manager at R.W. Nordin & Associates. After 25 years, Mike and Sandi closed the family business and retired in 2018 so they could enjoy their retirement.

Survivors include her husband, Mike Nordin; one son Nick and his wife Brenda (Oster) Nordin; their children, Leah, Jackson, and Lila; daughter, Heather and her husband Robert Smith; their children, Brody and Maverick; and mother, Doris Zeuske. She is further survived by three sisters, three brothers, nieces, and nephews. Sandra was preceded in death by her father, Marlin “Heinie” Zeuske; and father-in-law, Robert W. Nordin.

A memorial service for Sandra Kay Nordin will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at 11:00 am at St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano. Vicar David Kaiser will officiate. Visitation will begin at the church on Thursday at 9:00 am and continue until the time of service.
