Kevin “Covey” D. Conradt, age 67, a lifelong resident of Navarino passed away Friday evening January 3, 2025 following a brief stay at Shawano Health Services.

Kevin “Covey” David Conradt was born on April 27, 1957 in Clintonville as the son of the late Wilbert “Web” and Nora (Wilkinson) Conradt. He graduated from Bonduel High School in 1975 and continued his education through technical college in Green Bay. Covey worked various construction jobs as a young man and then went on to work for Nordberg’s. After a brief stint back at tech school, Covey was hired by Dick Olson during a card game at the local tavern; in complete Covey fashion. He became the office manager for Olson’s Rural Electric and only recently retired in the past few days due to health reasons. Covey was a lifelong member of Ascension Lutheran Church in Navarino where he served as the Treasurer for the Cemetery Board. Since age 29, Covey served as Chairman for the Town of Navarino and logged nearly 30 years of service to the Shawano County Board of Supervisors and on the Highway Commission. Folks will also remember him as the President of the Navarino Athletic Association and for his involvement with the Navarino – Lessor Fire Department and EMS. Covey’s footprint can be seen from one end of Navarino to the other as his hands were involved in making the town he loved better in many ways. In his free time he enjoyed watching the Packers, Brewers, and Navarino Rangers games and looked forward to spending time outdoors. One of his favorite things to do was taking utv rides through town visiting with his friends and neighbors.

His Siblings: Terry (Jean) Conradt, Steve (Mary) Conradt, and Joy (Steve) Daebler.
Aunt: Nancy Wilkinson.
Nieces & Nephews: Scott (Liz) Conradt and their children Haley & Raegan, Jessica (Adam) Riebe and their children Nora & Claire, Paul (Traci) Conradt and their children Nickolas & Rebecca, and Mallory (Jordan) Sova and their children Dax & Declan.
Also numerous cousins and more friends than he could count.

Covey was preceded in death by his parents Wilbert “Web” and Nora Conradt, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Covey’s Memorial Service will be held Friday January 10, 2025 at 3pm at Ascension Lutheran Church in the Town of Navarino with Rev. Mark Sabin officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 11:30am until the time of service and inurnment will take place in the parish cemetery later in spring. The service will be recorded on the funeral home and church’s Facebook pages.
