OCONTO COUNTY, WI- A 29-year-old Pulaski man, Zachary Wudke, was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Christmas morning in the Town of Chase, Oconto County.

According to Sheriff Todd Skarban, the crash occurred on County Road S when Wudke’s SUV, traveling east with a 4-year-old passenger, veered off the road for unknown reasons. The vehicle entered a ditch and adjacent field before striking a tree.

Wudke was pronounced dead at the scene, while the child sustained minor injuries and was transported to a Green Bay hospital for treatment.

The Oconto County Sheriff’s Office and Brown County Medical Examiner’s Office are investigating the incident. The Tri-County Fire Department and NEW Rescue assisted deputies at the scene, Sheriff Skarban reported.
