MERRILL, WI- The Shawano Boys gave up a basket in the games final seconds, that cost them in a 54-53 loss to Merrill. The Hawks led 53-52 but a basket by leading scorer EJ Weix gave the Bluejays the late lead. Shawano attempted to score in the games final seconds, but the pass down the floor went out of bounds as time expired.
Merrill got hot from behind the arc early to take a 30-26 halftime lead. Shawano hit five second half three point shots to get back in the game, but could not hold on to a late lead.
Logan Sipple led Shawano with 20 points and Will Verkuilen added 15. Merrill was led by EJ Weix with 20.
GREEN BAY PREBLE 71, PULASKI 70
Micah Johnson drained nine 3-pointers, scoring 29 points to lead the Hornets past Pulaski 71-70 in a Fox River Classic matchup. Ty Gerard’s late layup sealed the win for Preble, now 1-1 in conference play. Pulaski’s Colin Schultz tallied 27 points, surpassing 1,000 career points in the effort.
WRIGHTSTOWN 80, CLINTONVILLE 62
Wrightstown exploded for a season-high 45 first-half points in a win over Clintonville. Ethan Cyra led the Tigers with a career-best 33 points, while Jaeden Kittoe chipped in 12. Sam Wegener paced the Truckers with 24 points, and Jaxson Baribeau and Bryer Hogberg each contributed 12 in the loss.

Donovan Davis dropped 27 points to lead Freedom past the Panthers. Drew Kortz contributed 20 points, while Kaden Vandenberg added 11, sealing the Irish victory.

Jada Raeder sank a clutch 3-pointer at the buzzer to propel the Hornets to a thrilling win over the Red Raiders. Raeder finished with a team-high 19 points for Green Bay Preble. Pulaski’s Olivia Sprangers led all scorers with 18 points, while Ashley Servais contributed 13 in the effort.

The Hawks overcame a halftime deficit to edge the Phantoms in a key Bay Conference clash. Brynn Krull scored 23 points, and Hailey Hafner added 21 for Xavier. Faith Walder led West De Pere with 25 points. The Hawks hit 19 of 23 free throws, outpacing the Phantoms’ 8 of 14.
