Holly A. Corn, age 59 of Neopit, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, in Middle Village. Holly was born on August 23, 1965, in Shawano, a daughter of the late Richard L. “Sonny” and Donna C. (Irving) Corn. She attended the tribal schools and graduated from Menominee High School with the Class of 1983. Following school, she was employed at the Menominee Tribal Enterprise and the Menominee Casino. Holly was an excellent athlete in her younger days, excelling at basketball and softball. She was the first female to hit a homerun at Paddo’s Field in Neopit. Holly loved spending time with all of her nieces and nephews. She was known as “Holly Ann, the world’s greatest Corn” and the “Mayor of White City.” She was a gifted auto mechanic.
Survivors include her sister, Jaye Dick of Green Bay; sister-in-law, Emmy Corn of Neopit; special mom, Dory Grignon of Keshena; aunts, Susan Oshkosh of Keshena, and Elaine Oku of Chicago, IL; special brothers and sisters, Shane, Shelly, Cheyenne, and Shasheen; special niece, Rosie Ashleyann; and special nephews, Amos and Avion Andres. Holly is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at 11:00 am at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Neopit. Hanz Christian will be the Celebrant. Visitation will begin on Monday, December 16, 2024, after 4:00 pm at the Dory Grignon Residence, N2054 Hickory Street, Middle Village, until the procession leaves for church at 10:45 am on Wednesday. Burial will be at St. Anthony’s Catholic Cemetery in the spring.
