He could tell you about every road he worked on and was an asset to any company because of his attention to detail. He was a proud member of the Operating Engineers Local 139. Ralph retired from Pagel Construction in the mid 1990s. In his free time he loved to be in the outdoors hunting, fishing or doing his favorite thing…making firewood. The best times of his life were spent in his woods cutting trees or hunting deer or squirrels with his children & grandchildren. In his younger days he also hunted coyotes & rabbits with many friends and family members. He was a hard worker and always kept busy with yard work or enjoying the outdoors. He & Arlene enjoyed fishing year round for bluegills & perch in the local area & up north at his brothers cottage on Pickerel Lake until they were unable to get out to do it. They often shared their bounty giving friends and family members meals of fish to eat. He also enjoyed playing cards like sheepshead & smear with friends & family and at local card parties.
