Timothy P. Brusewitz, age 61, of Shawano, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at ThedaCare in Shawano.  Timothy was born on March 17, 1963, in Shawano to Daniel and Verna (Bahr) Brusewitz. He graduated from Bonduel High School with the Class of 1981.  Following high school, he worked at Kmart in Kimberly, Green Bay, and then Shawano. He attended Northeastern Wisconsin Technical College and later started his career as a correctional officer in Shawano. After 28 years of service, Timothy retired on February 4, 2022, and began working at Options Lab.  In September of 1991, he was united in marriage to the former Theresa Akstulewicz at St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano. Timothy loved coaching and attending events of his kids. As they grew up, he enjoyed traveling with his family to tour the MLB Stadiums, making it to 22 out of the 30 of them.  In his spare time Timothy enjoyed watching sports, especially the Packers and Brewers, he loved going to Brewer games. He also enjoyed fishing, snowmobiling, camping, doing yardwork, and simply taking his lawnmower for a ride. Above all, he loved being a Papa to his two granddaughters whom he adored. He was a simple man who lived life to the fullest. He always seemed to know everything and if he didn’t, he knew a guy that would. Timothy will forever be remembered for his funny jokes, storytelling, and outpouring love he had for others.  Timothy was a faithful member at St. James Lutheran Church. He was baptized in faith at Hope Lutheran Church in Cecil.

Survivors include his loving wife, Terrie Brusewitz; children, Devon (Caila) Brusewitz and Kendra Brusewitz; grandchildren, Nora and Ella Brusewitz; mother, Verna Brusewitz; and five siblings, Dale (Tracy) Brusewitz, Sue (John) Klemens, Bruce (Kelly) Brusewitz, Brian Brusewitz, and Bonnie (Brian) Sperberg. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, family members of Terrie, and friends.  Timothy was preceded in death by his father, Daniel Brusewitz; in-laws, William and Irene Askstulewicz; sisters-in-law, Barbara, Carol, and Joanie; brother-in-law, Billy; and his niece, Mindy Klemens.

A funeral service for Timothy Brusewitz will be held on Friday, December 6, 2024, at 11:00 am at St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano. Vicar David Kaiser will officiate. Visitation will begin at the church on Friday at 9:00 am and continue until the time of service.
