The Bonduel High School Village Band got the opportunity to put on a performance in front of a radio audience.
Holiday Beats, presented by Radtke-Reuter Electric, airs Live every Tuesday from 9:30a-10am until Christmas.
The band played some holiday music like Blue Christmas, Holly Jolly Christmas and Silent Night, along with a holiday polka.
“We do a lot of getting out in the community,” Band Director Tim Treptow said. “We try to stop at some of the elder care units and spread some holiday cheer.”
He said the month of December is busy for Bonduel band kids, including the Appleton Christmas Parade, The High School Christmas Concert which includes choirs, the band and the Village Band.
Students were excited to perform on radio. “This is a new experience for me,” said drummer Griffin Uelmen. “It was pretty cool.”
Evan Wilcox plays the trumpet and said it was different to not see who he was playing for. “It was a smaller room so the sound was different and it was a new experience for me.
