Donald “Cooner” F. Tourville, age 66 of the Township of Bear Creek, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday evening, October 23, 2024 at his home.
Donald Francis Tourville, or “Cooner,”as he was known, was born July 10, 1958 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton to Claude and Carol (Romenesko) Tourville. In his high school years, he enjoyed wrestling, powerlifting, and working with homing pigeons; later graduating from Kimberly High School with the class of 1976. Don operated his own concrete business along with his sons, while also working at Pierce Manufacturing as a plumber for 34 years. He was incredibly hard working, outgoing, “slightly stubborn,” and a big storyteller. He often shared stories of fishing and hunting with his children. One of his favorite stories to tell was when he met Fred Bear of Bear Bows, up in Michigan. He made sure his opinion was known, and was proud of it. He enjoyed bow and gun hunting, especially racoon, fishing on the Wolf River in New London for Walleye, taking care of his hunting hounds, and riding his motorcycle. He acknowledged Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and wished to grow in his faith and spread the gospel.
