Carol A. Fisher, age 89 of Clintonville, passed away early Sunday morning, October 13, 2024 at Care Partners Assisted Living, Clintonville, with her family by her side.

Carol Ann Fisher was born March 26, 1935 in West Allis, WI, daughter to the late Otto & Irma (Lemke) Kubitz. The family moved back to the area to live on the Kubitz home farm shortly after Carol was born. She attended Hillside School, St. Martin Lutheran School, and later graduated from Clintonville High School with the class of 1953. Carol was united in marriage to Harold J. Fisher on August 28, 1954 at St. Martin Lutheran Church, Clintonville, where they are still members. At church, Carol was active with the Ladies Aid & Mothers Group in years past. She was employed at Hansen Glove Factory, Rest Haven Nursing Home, drove school bus, worked with her husband on their dairy farm, and later drove medical transport with Koeppen’s for 10 years. Carol operated three greenhouses where she raised vegetable plants for other growers. Spending time outdoors was something Carol had a passion for: fishing, camping, and hunting; as well as cooking for the other hunters in the lodge during whitetail season. She also cherished her many kitties and dogs over the years, loving them and treating them like family. As the queen of her kitchen, she prepared food for family gatherings, made the best potato salad, canned vegetables, cooked maple syrup in her younger years, and was never afraid to prepare the wild game harvested by her or the family. Carol enjoyed trips with family to Canada and Yellowstone National Park, as well as the many camping trips around Wisconsin. She will be remembered for her loyalty to family, her quick-witted funny personality, and as someone who would give her last dime if someone needed it. Carol was undoubtedly the rock of the Fisher family; their loving wife, mother, grandma/grammy, and great-grandma will never be forgotten.

Great-grandchildren: Sam, Brooklyn, Bryson, Peyton, Sydney, Clara, Leo, & two more on the way
Sister: Janice (Vern) Schroeder
Brothers: Wayne (Mavis) Kubitz & Dennis Kubitz

Carol was preceded in death by her parents and a great-grandson, Christopher Fisher.

Memorial services will be held 11 AM on Saturday October 19, 2024 at St. Martin Lutheran Church, Clintonville, with the Rev. Jason Zobel officiating. Inurnment will take place at a later date.

Visitation will be held on Saturday at the church from 9 AM until the time of service.
