MANAWA, WI- Residents are encouraged to attend an upcoming meeting to learn about significant construction plans for Highway 22 in Manawa.
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation has proposed improvements for the stretch of Highway 22 between highways N and B. The project includes resurfacing the road, installing new sidewalks, and upgrading curb ramps to comply with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards. Additional repairs will focus on curbs, gutters, storm inlets, and fresh pavement markings.
Construction is expected to begin in 2028.
A public informational meeting is scheduled for 5 p.m. on October 3 at Manawa City Hall, 500 S. Bridge St. A brief presentation will be given at 5:30 p.m., followed by an open house for further discussion.
