CLINTONVILLE, WI- Two individuals were taken into custody late Sunday night following a traffic stop in Clintonville that led to the discovery of illegal drugs and related paraphernalia.
The Clintonville Police Department initiated the stop just before midnight near the intersection of South Main Street and West 1st Street due to an equipment violation. During the stop, K9 Thor was brought to the scene and detected the presence of illegal substances inside the vehicle.
A search of the vehicle revealed 12.19 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 2.11 grams of suspected fentanyl, and various drug paraphernalia items. As a result, a 65-year-old woman from Wautoma and a 33-year-old man from Neopit were arrested.
The woman faces charges for possession of methamphetamine, a narcotic, illegally obtained prescription medication, and drug paraphernalia. She already has an open felony case related to manufacturing and delivering methamphetamine and other drug-related offenses.
The man was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and felony bail jumping. He is currently facing two open felony cases and was on probation for previous charges related to possession of methamphetamine, narcotics, and other offenses.
