MANAWA, WI- The Manawa Mill Pond will be restored following a dam breach that occurred earlier this month. The Manawa Common Council unanimously voted to return the Mill Pond to its condition before the flash flooding on July 5.
The city is coordinating a community meeting with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Dam Safety Program and the DNR Fish and Wildlife Division to discuss the restoration plans. Details of the meeting, including date and time, will be announced soon.
Residents are urged to be patient, as the restoration process is expected to take some time.
