SHAWANO, WI- A courageous dog named Atley, who endured multiple gunshot wounds to her face in Shawano County last month, has undergone yet another surgery. The Shawano County Humane Society provided an update on Monday via Facebook, announcing that Atley’s procedure went well. Atley’s surgery involved the removal of bone fragments and stitches, along with adjustments to her fixator. Good Samaritans rallied to her aid after she was found injured on Feb. 9, near Olsen Road and County C. Despite the severity of her injuries, Atley’s resilience shines through as she steadily improves in her foster home. The Shawano County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating the incident, having received promising leads.
