SHAWANO, WI- After months of preparation, Dunkin Donuts in Shawano is now open. On Wednesday, people were seen lining up to the road to try the new treats.
Dunkin’, founded in 1950, is the largest coffee and donuts brand in the United States, with more than 13,200 restaurants in nearly 40 global markets. The menu includes quite a bit more than coffee and donuts, according to Harrison Otradovec, store manager.
“We offer our sandwiches and bagel mini’s all day.”
He described the first day as steady.
“This was a huge process, all the people, this was a lot to get ready,” he added. “We have the best coffee and donuts and it’s all Wisconsin.”
Otradovec says they are fully staffed. “The crew is strong, I’m happy.”
Otradovec says they have some special donuts for Halloween, including the new spider donuts. Dunkin Donuts is also doing the pink ribbon donut fundraiser to raise money for the fight against breast cancer.
