BONDUEL, WI- The Bonduel Girls excelled on offense and defense and took care of Algoma with a 61-17 win Monday.
Bonduel led from start to finish and used a full court press in the second half to frustrate the Wolves. The Bears were led by Hailey Zernicke with 16 points and Ella Hischke with 12. Kendra Troxel chipped in 9 points for Bonduel.
The Bears defense made things difficult for Algoma as their leading scorer Riley Zimmerman was held to zero points, coming into the night averaging 12 points a game.
Emily Kirchman led Algoma with 10 points. The Wolves were 6 of 28 from the field while Bonduel was 23 of 43 on the night.
The Bears are tied for first place in the CWC-East with Wittenberg-Birnamwood. The two have their second meeting of the season on Thursday.
