SHAWANO, WI- Shawano Middle School Principal Stuart Russ has turned in his resignation letter and will become the next Wittenberg-Birnamwood High School Principal.
Both school boards have to officially approve the move. The Shawano School Board is expected to approve the move during Monday night’s meeting.
Russ was hired at the Middle School in the 2018-2019 school year after spending some time as an assistant principal at Shawano High School. He will replace former Shawano teacher and current Wittenberg-Birnamwood Principal Bill Hass who will be retiring at the end of the year.
Russ says he has nothing but positive things to say about the teaching staff that he worked with at the Middle School.

This is the second Shawano School District Principal to resign this month. High School Principal Scott Zwirschitz announced he is returning to the classroom after taking a social studies teaching job at Clintonville High School.
