Oconto County’s district attorney, Edward Burke, is challenging incumbent Judge Jay N. Conley for the Oconto County Circuit Court Branch 2 post in the April 5 general election. Burke and Conley first vied for the Branch 2 post in 2010, with Conley taking 57% of the vote. Conley, who was unopposed in 2016, is completing his second six-year term as one of two judges in Oconto County. Before that, Conley was the district attorney in the county for about 19 years.
