OCONTO, WI- Oconto County prosecutors have filed nine charges against a 29-year-old woman accused of shooting an Oconto Falls Police officer.
Charges against 29-year-old Alisha Kocken include attempted first-degree intentional homicide.
Kocken is accused of shooting the officer last week. The name of the officer has not been released.
According to the report, police were called to an apartment Friday by a woman who claimed someone was trying to kidnap her child.
When officers arrived, they were told by Kocken’s boyfriend that he had taken Kocken’s child to the park, prompting the accusation of kidnapping her child.
Kocken was agitated and began struggling with the female officer. According to the report, Kocken lunged at the officer, who deployed her taser but that had no effect. Kocken grabbed the officer’s hair, and the officer ended up on her knees.
The report indicted that Kocken kept ahold of her hair and the officer then felt a hand at her side and reached back to realize that her 9mm duty handgun was missing from the holster. It was reported that the officer began to speak to Kocken and then heard two gunshots, and felt a third hit her head.
According to the records, a digital recording included a voice believed to be Kocken’s saying “I’ll kill you, three gun shots were also heard on the recording.
According to the report, one bullet hit the officer in the ballistic vest, one hit a wall in a closet and the third struck the officer above her eye.
Kocken is facing a total of nine charges including resisting an officer, battery to an officer, disarming a peace officer, and aggravated battery.
No initial court hearing has been scheduled.
