The Clintonville Diamond Cats and Waupaca Legion Baseball teams will play the rest of their State tournament run in the losers bracket. Both teams lost their opening-round games and will be eliminated if they lose again.

AA State Tournament at Antigo

ONALASKA 11, WAUPACA 1

Waupaca fell to Onalaska in six innings Friday. Waupaca could not get their bats going against Onalaska pitching. Waupaca will play the loser of Ahnapee and Medford in an elimination game at 10:00 AM.

A State Tournament at Denmark

ALTOONA 2, CLINTONVILLE 1

The Clintonville Diamond Cats gave up two runs in the bottom of the fifth inning and could not get back in the game. The Cats led 1-0 in the third inning. Brock Smjekel got the start and pitched the first two innings. He was pulled after 27 pitches. Altoona scored twice off of Kade Rosenow and held on the rest of the way. Clintonville had a rally in the 7th and left two runners in scoring position, flying out to the outfield for the final out. Clintonville will play Saturday afternoon in an elimination game.
