WAUPACA, WI-The COVID picture in Waupaca County is looking a little better. Waupaca School Superintendent Ron Saari says the numbers are looking better in the school district and in the county as a whole.
“They have had 12 days in a row of single-digit positives in the county and one of those days, they had just one positive.”
Saari says they have been able to get all the students that want to be educated in person, back on a regular schedule.
“We are in a good place, the numbers continue to go down and we are pleased with that. The numbers are trending down, down, down, and we have not seen that for a while.
COVID-19 testing continues in Waupaca County. Options include an at-home sample kit where you can take your own sample and send it in. The Wisconsin National Guard is conducting testing today at the Waupaca County Fairgrounds from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm. Tomorrow testing takes place at the Portage County Aging and Disability Resource Center and testing today, tomorrow and Friday at Sunnyview Expo Center and tomorrow and today from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm at the Stockbridge Munsee P&E building.
