Derald D. “Chub” Gast, II, of Shawano, passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2020. He was born on November 28, 1961 to Bette (Noak) the late Derald D. Gast, I. Derald is a Shawano High School graduate. He worked for Schutt Industries and enjoyed spending time with family and friends smiling, laughing, and having fun. In his free time Chub enjoyed fishing.

Chub is survived by his son, Dawson Gast of Shawano; his mother, Bette Tomasich of Florida; his step mother, Barb Gast of Shawano; his siblings, Victoria Heath of Shawano, Robin Kugel of Shawano, Brenda (Gary) Komp of Shawano, Betty Jo Gast of Shawano, Kim Gast of Shawano, Pam (Jason) Neaumann of Shawano, Mick (Lisa) Gast of Shawano, and Joleen (Bill) Franko of Maribel. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father and a nephew, Kevin Welch.

Funeral Services will be held for Derald at 11:00 am on Thursday, June 25, 2020 at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with Rev. Scott Ludford officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm, and again on Thursday at the funeral home from 10:00 am until the time of service.
