The Oconto County Sheriff’s Office received information from the Wisconsin Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) about a residence downloading child pornography in the Town of Little Suamico. After further investigation, the Oconto County Sheriff’s Office conducted a search warrant on October 3rd, 2019 at a residence in the Town of Little Suamico. As a result of the investigation, a suspect was identified, arrested and booked into jail for possession of child pornography. The 60 year old male suspect is currently incarcerated at the Oconto County Jail. Throughout the investigation, the Oconto County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Wisconsin Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) Appleton and Madison Regional Offices. We appreciate the time and efforts put forth by the assisting agents.
The Oconto County Sheriff’s Office is affiliated with the Wisconsin Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and is committed to the promotion of internet safety, the protection of our children, and the relentless pursuit of those who commit these heinous crimes. This case is being prosecuted by the Oconto County District Attorney’s Office.
