Charles A. Hintz, age 72, of Tigerton passed away Monday evening, July 1, 2019 at St. Clare’s Hospital, Weston.
Charles Arthur Hintz was born on September 24, 1946 in Tigerton at Tigerton hospital to Adolph and Irma (Robe) Hintz. Charlie, as he became known by, graduated from Tigerton High School in May of 1964. He was wed in holy matrimony to Luccienne Michaelis on March 14, 1970 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Tigerton. He was blessed with two daughters Kathy and Stacy. On July 28, 1979 Charlie married Peggie Green at Zion Lutheran Church in Tigerton. The couple was blessed with three daughters Kelly, Kayla, and Kristen. He loved all five daughters who were his pride and joy, endless love in his life including his six grandchildren.
Over the years he dedicated his heart and soul to farming and logging. He worked for Ort Lumber Company in New London and Gordon Sorenson Sr. logging in Bonduel for over 20 years. He owned Hintz Logging Company for over 15 years, retiring in September of 2008 due to health issues.
Charlie’s interests and hobbies were reading the newspaper, driving around town and in the country, and going out for fish frys. He always had an open door and heart. There was never a dollar that he owned that could be kept between him and his grandchildren. Charlie had a heart of gold and was there to pick up anyone who fell. His home always had a place for those in need. His love will never be lost, and his memory will live on thru his children.
Charlie’s request was to be laid to rest by his beloved daughter Kayla in Union Cemetery in Tigerton, WI. In the year of our Lord, on July 1, 2019 at 8:52 p.m. the angels took our beloved father and grandfather to the Lord.
Survivors include four daughters: Katherine Hintz of Tigerton, Stacy (life partner Darryl Bork) Krug of Tigerton, Kelly (Steven) Herres of Tigerton, and Kristen (friend Simeon Johnson) Pranke of Marion. Son-in-law, Derek Pranke of Wausau. There are six grandchildren: Holly (Dalton), Brooke, Madison, Alexis, Adin, and Mason. There are three siblings; Luella (Floyd) Wuske of Tigerton, David Hintz of Bonduel, and Greg (Susan) Hintz of Tigerton. He is further survived by many other relatives and friends. Charles was preceded in death by his parents Adolph and Irma Hintz, a daughter Kayla Jean Hintz, and a stepbrother Otto Bredendick Jr.
Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, July 10th at 3:00 PM at Beil-Didier Funeral Home, Tigerton. Rev. Clifford Kessen will officiate, and inurnment will follow at Union Cemetery, Tigerton. Friends may call on Wednesday from 1:00 PM until time of service at the funeral home. There will be a gathering at Tigerton Community Center with a potluck afterwards.
